- Written local authority design policy,and guidance, including district
wide design strategies and policy, and site-specific design briefs
- Chairman of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, the UK
professional body for conservation experts and practitioners
- Member of the RTPI Urban Design Network Steering Group
- Contributed to national design guidance for the Home Office and DCLG
- Participated in various government stakeholder and working groups
concerned with urban design and related matters
- Advised on design matters in major schemes, such as hospital and town
centre redevelopments
